Architecture LGBT+ presents: Designing 'Out'

- A showcase of LGBTQIA+ talent from beyond professional practice, encompassing academia and independent research -

Architecture LGBT+ are hosting an exhibition of talent from beyond professional practice at the Roca London Gallery from 3 Sept - 8 October. The exhibition will be part of the Open House festival, London Design Festival and within the Pride In London month. Online showcase of all submitted and selected work coming soon!

DESIGNING OUT is a showcase of LGBTQIA+ talent in Architecture, encompassing projects and research from students, graduates, professionals and academics. It aims to provide a platform for under-represented designers by bringing their work to a wider audience.

This exhibition comprises projects which engage with wide-ranging themes within the built environment. Projects in this show either directly relate to LGBTQIA+ themes, or are by designers who identify as being part of the LGBTQIA+ community (often both).

A selection of 26 projects was made from an international open call for submissions by a panel of six judges, we received submissions from 13 different countries and over 20 different universities.

A digital copy of the exhibition brochure including project explanations can be seen here.
