FLOAT WINNER ANNOUNCEMENT AT BOROUGH MARKET

The London Festival of Architecture (LFA) and Architecture LGBT+ ran a design competition for a float to represent architecture and LGBT+ architects at Pride in London and Manchester Pride 2019. The project celebrates the diversity of the architecture sector, and offers opportunities for architecture students, recent graduates, emerging practices as well as staff in more established firms.

To announce the winner, on the 13th June 2019 we hired the Market Hall at borough market for an evening of refreshments and networking and to view all the entries. Michael Salter-Church, Co-chair of Pride in London explained the importance of Pride and the BBC’s Evan Davis announced the winner alongside Tamsie Thomson, Director of LFA.
